Cube Layouts

Arrange your cubes for the best possible performance. Position them to be most effective for the performance that you are doing.  This is not the only way to do it.  Its just a suggestion.

Scale Rings

This is an arrangement of cubes that make it easy to play a scale or access any note easily from any other note.  For example, if we had a C Minor scale and wanted to represent C4-C5, we could arrange this way:

Multi-Layer Scale Rings

The idea with this scale ring is that there are two or more layers of the same scale descending into the Z direction (front to back).  Each time you push past a cube, you go up an octave.  Set the cubes to be transparent and turn off the back wall on all cubes.  An easy way to copy a cube ring is to select all the cubes and Alt-drag and then hold down the Shift and drag up to move the cubes backwards.

Bank of Cubes

This is a bank of cubes horizontal and vertical.  This is useful for multiple fingers in a scale.  (I have found that two fingers is more than adequate.)

Cube Prison

In some cases you may want to create one giant cube that is inescapable.  Once your finger moves into the cube, as long as the Leap Motion Controller can see it, it is tracked.  The only way to get out of this cube is to remove your finger from the view of the Leap Motion Controller by either balling your hand into a fist or moving your finger out of view.
